Chile barks Grace Marks and Virginia Marks visiting Valparaiso, Chile in November-December 1874 according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 5 January 1875

An item referred to a letter written by captain Jacob A. Howland written at Valparaiso, Chile on 2 December 1874 reporting that there on 28 November the Chile bark Grace Marks arrived there after a voyage of 8 months loaded with 280 bbls. Sperm and 700 bbls. Whale oil. On the same day Howland wrote his letter departed the Chile bark Virginia Marks with as captain Cash.
