Dutch bark ship Walcheren despite troubles underway towards the Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 28 November 1872

An item dated Amsterdam the 26th referred to a letter written by captain Larsen of the bark ship Walcheren that his ship stranded on the 14th off Kastrup near Amager Isle due to heavy storm winds. Two days later was she with the support of a steamboat and lighters refloated and brought to Denmark. There was she examined by divers with concluded that she was undamaged. Larsen telegraphed that he intended the 21st to continue his voyage towards Vlissingen. The salvage costs were 1.800 Danish rijksdaalders.
