Merchant ship Kandanghauer temporarily grounded on the Noordhaaks according to the Dutch newspaper Heldersche en Nieuwedieper Courant dated Thursday 4 May 1865

An item dated Den Helder the 3rd reported that the merchant ship Kandanghauer which left in the afternoon two days earlier the harbour towards the Dutch East Indies in the evening was towed back by the tug Noordzee. She was grounded on the Noordhaaks and refloated with high tide. Her bottom needed to be inspected but while the dry dock at Willemsoord was not available would she probably be towed to Amsterdam.
