American whaler Catherine lying in September in the Arctic Ocean according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 6 December 1864

An item referred to a letter received from the Catherine of New London reported her on 27 September in the Bering Straits leaving the Arctic Ocean on the 22^nd towards Honolulu, Hawaii with a catch of 1.200 barrels whale oil. On the 16^th she had met the bark Pearl Hull of New London with a catch of 350 barrels whale oil and four heads bone.
