American whaler Navy lying in November at Honolulu, Hawaii according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 18 December 1866

An item referred to a letter written by captain Davis on board of the bark Navy of New Bedford lying on 1 November at Honolulu, Hawaii reporting he transferred his catch of oil and bone to the Ceylon. In a second letter dated 22 October wrote Davis that the Arctic whale fishery season was a disaster. The whales immediately seek refugee in the ice when they were chased by the boats.
