Dutch floating battery Zr.Ms. Neptunus tested off Texel according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Courant van Den Helder dated 21 September 1861

An item dated Den Helder the 20th reported that in the morning before the Dutch steam ship Zr.Ms. Cycloop (1) towed the Dutch floating battery Zr.Ms. Neptunus from the Nieuwediep to the coast line of the Dutch island Texel. A day earlier failed this effort. The Cycloop stayed nearby during the tests done with the battery.
