Dutch ships chartered by British shipbrokers for destination Australia according to the Dutch newspaper Weekblad van Den Helder en het Nieuwediep dated 21 February 1853
An item reported that
several Dutch East Indiaman were chartered by British ship brokers for cargoes
destined for Australia.
Since 22 November 1852 left 7 ships London for
this purpose and on 7 February were another 8 loading at London. The same happened at Liverpool where since 1 January five ships left with this
destination and on 7 February were another 18 ships there loaded.
