Hull and cargo sold of British bark Matilda Luckier sold at Cocksdorp, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Weekblad van Den Helder en het Nieuwediep dated 14 January 1856

An announcement reported the auction on Wednesday the 16t at 11.00 oclock at Cocksdorp, Texel of the coppered hull and further more her inventory including the cargo coal of the British bark ship Matilda Luckier captain August Toftet. Underway from North Shields towards Demerara [British Guiana nowadays Guyana] stranded she on 30 December 1855 in the Eijerlandsche Gronden.
