Norwegian bark ship Deeppe Pacet wrecked of the Dutch island Ameland according to the Dutch newspaper Heldersche en Nieuwedieper Courant dated 5 September 1861

An item reported that according to tidings received from the Dutch island Ameland there the Norwegian bark ship Deeppe Pacet of Havidsteen captain Lars M. Mosch was stranded. She was underway with a cargo of sawn timber from Christiana, Norway towards Dieppe, France. A Dutch lifeboat with 5 men on board tried to save the crew but the boat capsized and all drowned. A second lifeboat later rescued the Norwegian crew consisting of a captain, two wheelsmen and 7 sailors.
