Norwegian bark ship Favorite wrecked on the Dutch island Texel according to the Dutch newspaper Heldersche en Nieuwedieper Courant dated 2 December 1860

An announcement reported the intended auction on Monday 3 December 19.00 o’clock in the locality de Lindeboom, Den Burg, Texel of the coppered and copper tightened casco of the Norwegian bark ship Favorite captain E.C. Nielsen stranded North of De Koog in an excellent position for breaking her up. She was underway from Hernösand, Sweden towards Honfleur, France with a cargo of timber. In separate announcements were the auctions of the cargo and her inventory reported.
