Prussian bark ship Fortuna arrived heavily damaged at Ramsgate, England according to the Dutch newspaper Weekblad van Den Helder en het Nieuwediep dated 29 December 1858

An item reported the recent arrival of the bark ship Fortuna of Stettin at Ramsgate in a worse condition. She left Cardiff for Stettin with a cargo of coal with secured cargo holds [not ventilating?] causing a gas explosion killing one sailor, wounding a second one while a third men was still missing.
