An item dated Den Helder, Netherlands the 5th reported that on Tuesday at Callantsoog, Netherlands stranded the Norwegian bark ship Alida captain Calmeijer with a cargo of wood underway from Drammen [Norway?] to Zaandam, Netherlands. A fishing vessel brought her crew to Den Helder, The tug [Stad] Amsterdam went immediately to the wreck hoping to refloat her but returned without success. A part of her inventory was salvaged and arrived on the 4th at Den Helder.(1)
