Dutch bark Suriname sold at Amsterdam, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 6 July 1864

An item reported the sale on Monday the 4th in the Nieuwe Stads-Herberg, Amsterdam, Netherlands of the Dutch bark ship Suriname captain P. Rijntjes for ƒ 9.500+ƒ 800 to A.J. Corver. She was built of Cajaten wood [Tectona grandis=teak]. The newspaper Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant reported that she was built in 1816.(1)
