An item dated Rotterdam, Netherlands 28 March reported that on the same day at the navy yard with success the Dutch 18-gun brig Zr.Ms. Echo was launched. Her jib was fitted out with the so-called anchor lock invented by W. van Houten jr. making an easier and saver dropping of the anchor possible.(1)
