An item dated Den Helder, Netherlands the 3rd reported that the Dutch corvette Azr.Ms. Argo (1) captain C. van der Hart lying at Den Helder was commissioned on 1 October. Her etat major consisted of 1st officer lieutenant 1st class M.C. van Vreeland, lieutenant 2nd class P. Beelaarts van Emmichoven, R.C. Sloos, J.M.J. Brutel de la Riviere, P. van de Velde Erbrink, midshipmen 1st class J.R. Scholten, jhr. J.E. van Heemskerk Beets, F. de Parker Verboon, jhr. J.H. von Schmidt auf Altenstad, officer of administration 2nd class P.C.W. Anemaet and clerk A.W. van Kruijnen. Her destination was the Dutch East Indies to replace the Dutch corvette Zr.Ms. Boreas (2).
