Dutch screw steamship Zr.Ms. Montrado left Den Helder, Netherlands for a patrol on the North Sea accordingto the Dutch newspaper Weekblad van Den Helder en het Nieuwediep dated Monday 27 August 1855

An item reported that the Dutch screw steamship Zr.Ms. Montrado lieutenant 1st class J. Andrae left Den Helder, Netherlands on Thursday evening for as was said a patrol during the next 14 days on the North Sea.(1)

1. Screw steam schooner, ex-Vuurpijl renamed 1854, built in 1853-1854 at the navy yard at Amsterdam, Netherlands and sold in 1867. Displacement 407 tons and as dimensions 42,15 x 8,16x 3,30 metres. Armed with 10 guns.
