Dutch submarines of the Walrus-class

In 1978 was the building of the Walrus-class of diesel submarines at the Rotterdamsche Droogdok Maatschappij, Rotterdam, Netherlands ordered. These submarines were to replace the Dolfijn-class. For the Walrus-class was as base the design of the Zwaardvis-class used. There are four units built: Walrus (S802) of 1992, Zeeleeuw (S803) of 1990, Dolfijn (S808) of 1993and the Bruinvis (S810) of 1994. This class belongs nowadays still to the most supplicated diesel-engines driven submarines.
