Nederlandsche Handel-Maatschappij (N.H.M.) hired Dutch bark Mary en Hillegonda as troop transport according to the Dutch newspaper Java-bode dated 6 August 1864

An item reported that the N.H.M. hired the Dutch ship Mary en Hillegonda captain P. Wolters to transport 150 military included 12 non-commissioned officers and 5-6 cabin passengers from the Netherlands towards Java, Dutch East Indies. They were to embark end June.(1)

1. Source Staat der Nederlandsche Zeemagt en Koopvaardij-vloot op 1 Januarij 1864 mentioned a bark, captain H.O. Piccardt, Rotterdam no. 184-flagged, owned by E. Suermondt&Zn.&Co., tonnage 754 tons, built 1856 and homeport Rotterdam, Netherlands.
