Dutch bark Het Goede Vertrouwen bound for the Dutch East Indies temporarily grounded on Shipwash Sand according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviaasch handelsblad dated 21 July 1860

An item dated London, England 7 June reported that the Dutch bark Het Goede Vertrouwen captain Kraan underway from Nieuwediep, Netherlands towards Batavia, Dutch East Indies grounded on 23 May op the Shipwash Sandbut refloated after just 2 hours without any assistance, anchored off Downs and resumed her voyage the day before yesterday.
