French screw steam corvette 2nd class Caton captured German merchant ships Algemeen Handelsblad dated 21 August 1870

An item dated London, England the 17th reported that the French corvette Caton (1) captured off Cape Gate two North German merchant ships and brought these into the harbour of Mers-El-Kebir, Algeria.(2)
