Russia supplying her Pacific Fleet with sailors and war stores according to the Dutch newspaper De locomotief dated 30 October 1895

An item dated Batavia, Dutch East Indies 30th reported that another Russian cruiser Odessa, Russia left with on board sailors, ammunition and other war stores for the Pacific Fleet.(1)

Note
1. The First Sino-Japanese War (1 August 1894-17 April 1895) was then already ended. Russia had interests in Korea and off course was Port Arthur of the utmost value for her.
