American whaler Emily lying on 14th April at Paita, Peru according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 5 July 1859

A letter from the second mate written on board of the bark Emily on 14th April at Paita [Peru?] reported that everything was well on board. They had a catch of 500 barrels sperm oil.(1)
