French parliament member Lockroy stated French navy in worse condition according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 31 January 1894

An item dated Paris, France 30th reported that the discussion dealing with the French navy in the French Parliament was delayed to Thursday after a request of the cabinet. This delay was caused by an interpellation of the radical parliament member Lockroy about the apparently worse condition of the fleet.(1)
