Dutch whaler Dirkje Adema returning to the Netherlands from seal hunting according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Rotterdamsche courant dated 8 June 1853

An item dated Harlingen, Netherlands 5th reported that the Dutch whaler Dirkje Adema probably would continue with whaling while she was already sighted near the harbour with a catch of around 9.000 seals.
