Greek tank landing ships (LST’s) Chios (L173) and Lesbos (L176)

Their building at the Eleusis Shipyard was ordered on 15 May 1986. With a displacement of 4.400 tons (full load) and as dimensions 116 x 15,3 x 3,4 metres or 38.5’ x 50,2’x  11.3’. Speed 16 knots. Cargo capacity  300 military with vehicles; 4 LCVP’s. The armament consists of 1-7.6cm gu2-4cm guns and 4-2cm guns. Of the Jason-class.
Chios launched on 16 December 1986 and commissioned on 30 May 1996.
Lesbos launched on 5 July 1990 and commissioned on 28 February 1999.
