Austrian screw steam corvette Saida visiting the Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Java-bode dated 16 March 1893

An item dated Batavia, Dutch East Indies 16^th reported the arrival of the Austrian war steamship Saïda coming from the north. The edition of the 22^nd reported her departure towards Surabaya, Dutch East Indies. Commanding officer was Sachs.(1)

1. Screw steam corvette, laid down at the Pola Naval Yard [nowadays Pula, Croatia] in September 1876, launched on 2 July 1878, completed on 14 August 1879 and broken up in 1920. Originally armed with 11-15cm guns, 1-7,5cm landing gun to which later 2 machineguns were added.
