Russian screw steam sloop Kreiser visited Batavia, Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Java-bode dated 21 February 1887

An item dated Batavia, Dutch East Indies 19^th reported the arrival of the Russian steam warship Crasser [Dutch spelling] coming from the North.(1)

1. Probably the screw steam sloop Kreiser, laid down 1873, launched in 1875, completed in 1876 and stricken in 1908. Her armament consisted of 3-6” guns, 4-4.2” guns, 4/6-1pd revolvers and 1-15” torpedo tube.
