Dutch 1st charter Maarsseveen 1665

Of the admiralty Amsterdam, built for the Dutch East India Company chamber Amsterdam in 1660, bought in 1665, burnt in action 1665, dimensions (Amsterdam foot) 170 x 38¾ -9 x 18-18¼, height verdeck 7½, overloop 5, an armament of 70-78 guns (one list dated 1665: 24-18pd, 6-12pd, 20-8pd, 22-4pd) and a crew numbering 182-325 men. Ccaptain J. de Reus, 17 April 1665 off Texel in squadron commanded by C.M. Tromp, fleet commanded by J. van Wassenaer Obdam, 13 June battle of Lowestoft, after heavy fighting with the British due to heavy damage collided with the Ter Goes and Swanenburgh and destroyed by a British fireship, captain died.
