Dutch former army salvage vessel Bergingsvaartuig RV29 1954-

Built at the shipyard of J.H. van Eijk&Zn., Sliedrecht, Netherlands with yard number 141 in 1954 and commissioned in November in service of the Vaar- en Duikschool of the Genieschool at Geertruidenberg, Netherlands (training divers and salvagers of corps of engineers). In 1961 at the shipyard of Figee, Vlaardingen rebuilt and fitted out with a new engine. Decommissioned in 2005 and transferred to the Engineers Museum, Vught, Netherlands. Dimensions 25 x 5,75 (over all) x 2,25 (hold) metres and 80 ton tonnage. For her building were advices required from the Dutch salvage firmVan den Tak’s Bergingsbedrijf, Rotterdam, Netherlands. Fitted out originally with 1-3cylinder 120 hp Industrie engine and 2-20 hp auxiliary Samofa engines. Further more was she fitted out with a diving compressor, diver bells, a common pump with a capacity of 24ton/hour and 5 atmosphere pressure and a air-cooled 20hp Armstrong Siddeley on deck for lifting purposes.
