A Soviet modified Koni class (project 1159TR) frigate laid down at the Krasniy Metallist Zavod, Zednodol’sk, Russia with hull number 892 on 10 January 1985, launched on 27 April and renamed Al Hanie and commissioned 28 June 1986.
