Prussian corvette Amazone launched according to the Dutch newspaper Vlissingse Courant dated 5 July 1843

An item referred to an item dated Stettin, Prussia 29^th June that on the 24^th in the presence of an enthusiast audience there the first Prussia seagoing ship of Prussia and the German League the 24-gun corvette Amazone was launched. Her crew numbered 14 guns and her commanding officer was captain baron Von Dirkinck-Holmfeldt from Westfalen.
