Dutch tug trawler Democraat II sunk in harbour of IJmuiden, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 11 June 1918
An item dated IJmuiden, Netherlands 10th reported that the Dutch tug trawler Democraat II (RO 35) of the firm A. de Jonge, Rotterdam, Netherlands while bunkering the Vissershaven, IJmuiden suddenly capsized and sunk caused by a yet unknown cause. A second item dated Maassluis, Netherlands 10th reported that the Nieuwe Berging-Maatschappij was ordered to salvage the RO 35 for which purpose the salvage vessel Haai was sent to IJmuiden. The newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 13 June published an item dated IJmuiden, Netherlands 12th reported that the Dutch tug trawler Democraat II (RO 35) was salvaged, pumped empty and now again floating.
