Zwaan on Wednesday 7th at 11.00 o’clock departed Ijmuiden, Netherlands for trawler fishing but on the 8th 20.30 o’clock about 10 miles South East of Scheveningen, Netherlands probably a wreck or a mine hit and started heavy leaking immediately. After around 30 minutes rowing they engaged the Dutch schokker SCH 495 where the six men went on board. The schokker tried unsuccessfully to enter that morning the harbour of Scheveningen which was impossible due to the high tide and the wind.
