German colonists gave money for strengthening German armed forces according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuw Israelietisch weekblad dated 4 September 1936

An item reported that the so-called German Guttempler colonists of the colony Sarona near Jaffa, Israel sent 5.000 pound to the German government to be used for strengthening the German forces. They were thanked and told that the money would be used for building a submarine.
