An item dated August 28th reported the passing of Nieuw Anjer [nowadays Anyer, Indonesia] by the German bark Lake Ontario underway from Rotterdam, Netherlands via London, England towards Batavia, Dutch East Indies. She arrived there on the 30th, captain Altmann, shipping agents J.F. van Leeuwen&Co.
