Ship Carpathian underway from Chile towards the Channel loaded with saltpetre sunk according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 20 November 1891
An item dated London, England 16th reported that the ship Carpathian underway from Iquique, Chile towards the Channel loaded with saltpetre was sunk after she caught fire. Her crew was partly salved and brought to Arica [Chile?].
