Dutch frigate Zr.Ms. Prins van Oranje praised by British when she visited Portsmouth, England according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated Thursday 3 October 1850

An item reported that the Thursday before in the evening the etat major of the Dutch frigate Zr. Ms. Prins van Oranje captain Bourcius lying at Portsmouth, England was invited by admiral Capel commanding the naval base there for a feast. The officers of the 82nd regiment also a feast and on Monday she was to return towards the Netherlands. In tidings received from Portsmouth was she praised as a very beautiful and well built ship. A perfect warship regarded the etat major, crew, armament and discipline. (1)
