Dutch steam paddle warship Zr.Ms. Ardjoeno lying at Den Helder, Netherlands preparing for a voyage according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated 25 May 1850

An item reported that the Dutch steamship Zr.Ms. Ardjoeno which arrived on 28th April at Den Helder, Netherlands coming from Amsterdam, Netherlands was being fitted put for a voyage. Together with the Zr.Ms. Gedeh was she the largest ship of the Royal Netherlands Navy. She was described as a beautiful and spacious ship. Her dimensions were 206 (on deck) x 38 (between the paddle wheels)-40 (maximum on half deck) metres. Total horsepower 300 hp. Her crew was to number 125 men and the armament of 2-80 pd grenade guns, 4-30pd grenade guns and 2 long 30-pd grenade guns.(1)
