Dutch brig Zr. Ms. Zwaluw cruising for pirates off Spermondes, Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated Thursday 21 August 1851

An item reported that the Dutch brig Zr. Ms. Zwaluw left on 18th May from Macassar, Dutch East Indies towards the islands Spermondes, Dutch East Indies where according to tidings pirates were sighted.(1)

1. Brig, laid down at the navy yard at Amsterdam, Netherlands 1837, launched on 1 August 1840, served also in the Dutch East Indies, last mentioned 1864, dimensions 32 x9,6 x 4,4 metres and an armament of 18 guns.
