An item dated The Hague, Netherlands 30th referred to tidings dated 7th
November dealing with the movements of the Dutch squadron in the Dutch East
Indies reporting that the Dutch corvette Zr. Ms. Prins Maurits der Nederlanden
captain lieutenant C.P. de Bauw cruised in October along the coast of Padang,
Dutch East Indies towards Siboga, Dutch East Indies and returned on 27 October
in the roads of Padang.(1)

at Amsterdam, Netherlands 1877, decommissioned 1 October 1904, stricken 1905,
sold an a public auction 11.00 o’clock for ƒ 16.788 to M.S. Springers at Amsterdam,
Netherlands Thursday 10th January 1907, sold within some days to a group of
persons at Den Helder, Netherlands to break her up, 776 tons displacement,
dimensions 36,50 x 10,30 x 4,80 metres, 18 (1869:medium 30pd)-26 guns and a
crew of 200 men (1-10-1877).
