Dutch frigate Hasewint 1637-1652

Of the admiralty Zealand, frigate also called galleass, dimensions 112 (prow)/92 (keel) x 27 (maximum) x 10’8/10, built by Geleijn or Leijn Cornelissen at Vlissingen, Netherlands in 1637, captured by British in spring 1652, an armament of 28 guns and a crew numbering 85-115 men (1652:80 sailors, 20 soldiers). Building costs 1850 pond Flemish. First captain Abraham Crijnssen, later Jacob Vercelli (1651-1652). Bbuilding should start 1 April and within 14 weeks to be finished.
