Of the admiralty Maze, built by Jan Salomonsz van den Tempel at naval yard at Rotterdam, Netherlands in 1689, last mentioned in 1697, dimensions 86 x 24½ x 9¾ feet and an armament of 20 guns. Identical to the fire ship of 1697? Commanding officers in 1689-1690 commandeur W. Lamoreux, voyage to Thames, North Sea and Channel, in 1693 commandeur B. Engelbergh, voyage to North Sea and Channel, and in 1695-1696 commandeur J. Bisschop, voyage to North Sea. Admiralty minute dated 9 October 1692: 2-4pdr (iron), 14-3pdr (iron), 6-3pdr (bronze swivels) and Admiralty minute dated 16 January 1692: 10-3pdr (iron), 6 swivels (bronze), totally 16 guns.
