Dutch navy sailors embarked on board of Dutch mail boat Koningin Emma boudn for the Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Heldersche en Nieuwedieper Courant dated 20 July 1890

An item reported that on 12 September a detachment of around 180 naval sailors would depart from Willemsoord, Netherlands with the mail boat Koningin Emma of the Maatschappij Nederlands [towards the Dutch East Indies]. The detachment was commanded by lieutenant 1st class R.C.A.L. Jansen van Afferden.(1)
