Battleships versus aircraft discussions in England according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1937 no. 2

An item referred to the Proceedings dated January 1937 reporting that the commission which had the examine what the best choice was namely battleships or aircraft choose for battleships. It was calculated that one battleship was equal to 43 twin bombers. Fans of aircraft thought that building battleships was a waste of money. If however they were wrong could that be the end of the British Empire.
