British Admiralty considering construction canal between Rosyth and the Inverkeithing Bay according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1911-1912 no. 3

An item reported that the British Admiralty considered the construction of a short canal in the isthmus between St. Margaret’s Hope (at the border of the navy harbour Rosyth) and the Inverkeithing Bay. In Rosyth was probably an arsenal planned and the new canal prevented that warships were locked at Rosyth while the Firth of Forth was blockaded caused by a destruction of the Forth bridge.
