Building of transport and store ship for the US Navy approved according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1913-1914 no. 4

An item reported that the transport for the US Navy for which in the last budget the building costs were approved was to measure 10.000 ton with an armament of 10/12cm guns and with accommodation for 70 officers and 1.250 soldiers and the needed field guns. The store ship had a similar displacement and armament of and had a cargo capacity of 2.000 ton victuals and 250 tons of material.
