Former British Chief Constructor Sir William Henry White against the used armament of the HMS Dreadnought according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1906-1907 No.4
An item referred to the Army and Naval Journal reporting that also the former Chief Constructor sir William White (1) was against the lacking of medium calibre guns by the HMS Dreadnought.(2)

1. Sir William Henry White (2 February 1845 Plymouth, England-27 February 1913 London, England), Chief Constructor 1 August 1885-31 January 1902 and responsible for 244 warships including43 battleships. Between 1883-1885 designer and manager of the warship building department of Sir William Armstrong’s company.
2. Laid down at the Navy Dockyard at Portsmouth, England on 2 October 1905, launched on 10 February 1906, commissioned on 2 December 1906, decommissioned in February 1919 and finally broken up in 1923. A revolutionary design which shocked the naval world causing all battleships before outdated. She had a uniform main armament of 10-12” guns lacking the usual strong secondary armament. She was further armed with 27x1-12pd guns and 5-45cm18” torpedo tubes.
