An item reported that Haiti bought for her navy the in 1888 launched steamship Adirondack of the Hamburg Amerika Line. She was to be armed and fitted out with an armour deck.(1)

England, 1905 owned by the HAPAG and which was bought by Haiti in 1905, stricken in 1920. Renamed Le Croyant in Haitian service as a gunboat. Tonnage 2.167 tons and as dimensions 290.4 x 37.1 feet.
