Dutch warship Leiden 1647-1666

Of the ship, admiralty Amsterdam, built at the navy yard at Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1647, burnt in action in a battle with the British fleet commanded by admiral George Monk on 4 August in 1666, dimensions 116-117½ x 28-28¼ x 11, height above hold 6¾ feet, an armament of 26-36 (1 April 1665 8-12pd, 10-8pd, 14-6pd, 4-3pd) guns and a crew numbering 80-140 (included 20 soldiers) men. Captain on 1 April 1665 Barent Halo.
