General technical specifications. Displacement 13.993/13.772 long tons and as dimensions 132,6 (waterline)-144,6 (over all) x 22,4 x 8,58 metres or 474 x 73 x 28,1 feet. Two vertical four-cylinder triple expansion steam engines and 28 Babcock&Willcxc coal-fired boilers supplied 21.968 ihp allowing a speed of 21,39 knots and with a speed of 10 knots a range of 10.000 nautical miles. Crew numbered 742-764 men. The Krupp steel armour made in Terni consisted of a 25cm/9.8” thick belt, 3,8cm/1.5” decks with the gun turrets and conning tower protected by respectively 20cm/8” and 25cm/10”. The armament consisted of 2x1-30cm/12” 40 cal guns, 6x2-20cm/8” 40 cal guns, 24-7,6cm/3” 40 cal guns and 2-45cm/17.7” torpedo tubes placed in the hull below the waterline.
